Emilie is a UBC Medical Genetics graduate student co-supervised by Drs. Jessica Dennis and Wendy Robinson. She is interested in the genetic sex differences underlying depression subtypes and shared associations with cardiovascular disease in large population data sets. Her career goals in research are to contribute to knowledge translation initiatives both within the research community and to the lay public/patients about how to interpret and analyze “big data”, and to integrate her knowledge of psychiatric and cardiovascular genetics precision health initiatives. Outside of research, Emilie enjoys running in forest trails, dance classes, learning new languages and traveling (before COVID), and spending time with friends and family.
