Research in Women’s Cancers

Cancers that occur specifically in women, such as breast, cervical, ovarian and endometrial, affect women throughout the life trajectory. Every day, thousands of women are diagnosed with cancer, a diagnosis that affects not only the individual, but everyone close to her. Women today hold many important roles—they are not only care providers of our families, but they are also the cornerstones of society. Taking steps towards eradication of women’s cancers will enhance not only the life of the individual, but families and society at large.

Women’s Health Research Institute researchers are dedicated to research that reduces the burden of women’s cancers on women and their families through prevention strategies, screening, early detection, effective treatment and psycho-social support systems.
