Dr. Anna Lehman is the 2018 recipient of the WHRI Genomic Medicine Clinician Scientist Salary Award

Congratulations to Dr. Anna Lehman, recipient of the WHRI Genomic Medicine Clinician Scientist Salary Award!  The award provides partial salary support for three years to enable an early- to mid-career clinical geneticist to become an independent clinician scientist leading a genomic medicine research program at BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre.

SGSH Research Tool

The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center has created a "Sex and Gender Specific Health PubMed Search Tool".  This tool helps investigators filter their searches for gender and sex specific health literature.  It can be accessed (along with many other resources) at the Sex and Gender Specific Health website.

Assessing Best Practices In Peer Review

The Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research recently conducted a review of best practices in peer review.  The review sought to answer key questions about best practices in application review processes, such as optimal application length, how best to implement a triage process for low scoring applications, and when to use face-to-face review meetings

The review resulted in 11 recommendations, all of which are in various stages of implementation.
